GG Wellness · Laser

Different technologies.
A personal plan.

Laser care begins with choosing an appropriate approach for your skin and your goals. Explore hair removal, CO₂ resurfacing and Endolift enquiries with time to understand the differences before deciding.

Your skin tone, treatment history and recovery needs help shape the conversation. We will clarify the proposed treatment, practitioner and location.

Your starting point

The right starting point
is an assessment.

Laser is not one treatment. Different devices work in different ways and have different suitability criteria, recovery periods and risks. We begin with the area you wish to discuss, your skin and hair characteristics, medical history and any recent tanning or treatment.

Hair removal

Plan for a course, not a promise

Laser hair removal aims to reduce unwanted hair growth. Your skin tone, hair colour, area and response affect what is achievable. Repeat appointments and maintenance may be needed; complete permanent removal is not guaranteed.

CO₂ resurfacing

Texture, scars & recovery

CO₂ resurfacing may be discussed for selected texture and scarring concerns. It involves treating the skin surface and requires careful consideration of healing, downtime and the risk of pigment changes.

Endolift

A separate clinical discussion

Endolift is a minimally invasive laser procedure using a fine optical fibre beneath the skin. It is different from surface laser treatments and hair removal. Ask about the practitioner, suitability, recovery and procedure-specific risks.

The GG Wellness approach

Your skin tone.
Your treatment history.

These are essential parts of planning. Tell us about recent sun exposure or tanning, medicines, previous laser treatments, sensitivity, cold sores, scarring tendencies and any changes in the treatment area.

A test patch may be required before a treatment course, depending on the procedure. Your practitioner will explain the timing and what the test can tell you. A satisfactory test does not remove every risk. Treatment may need to be delayed or a different approach recommended.

Built around you

A personal plan.
A clear way forward.

Your questions, preferences and response belong in every stage of the journey.

01 / Assess

Understand your options.

Discuss your concern and suitability, identify the proposed technology and clarify who will perform the procedure. A treatment name alone is not a personal plan.

02 / Prepare

Make the practical plan.

Review preparation, any test patch, protective measures, expected recovery and costs. Consider work, travel and important events before scheduling.

03 / Review

Follow your response.

Assess healing and response before deciding on further treatment. Appointment spacing and any maintenance should reflect the procedure and your individual progress.

Before & after your appointment

Recovery is part
of the decision.

Ask what you may look and feel like afterwards, how long the area may need special care and when to contact the practitioner. Recovery varies substantially between hair removal, resurfacing and minimally invasive laser procedures. Follow the instructions specific to your treatment.

Good to know

Your questions.
Time for answers.

These are starting points for discussion. Your appointment is the place to talk through your individual circumstances and the options available.

Independent reading: NHS laser treatment information ↗

Which laser treatment should I book?

If you are unsure, enquire about a consultation first. We can discuss the concern, identify the relevant service and confirm current availability and practitioner arrangements.

Is every laser suitable for every skin tone?

No. Device choice, treatment settings and the concern being treated all matter. Some procedures carry a greater risk of pigment changes in certain skin tones. An individual assessment is essential.

What are the possible side effects?

Laser treatment can cause discomfort, redness and swelling. Depending on the procedure, risks also include burns or blistering, infection, pigment changes and scarring. Eye injury is a risk without appropriate protection. The practitioner should explain the risks specific to the proposed treatment.

Will I need a patch test?

This depends on the treatment. Where a test patch is needed, allow for the assessment period before a full appointment. Tell us about any health, medication or sun-exposure changes between visits.

How many hair-removal sessions will I need?

This varies by area, hair characteristics and individual response. A course is commonly needed and maintenance may be discussed. Ask for a realistic plan and review points rather than a guaranteed number.

Can I have treatment before a holiday or an event?

Tell us your dates before booking. Sun exposure, skin recovery and the treatment type may affect timing. Your practitioner should advise on an appropriate schedule.
